The Non Aligned Students and Youth Movement (NASYM) Chairman Mr. Subhash Chowdhary has called upon the new US administration under President Barrack Obama to press Israel to endorse Palestinian statehood and halt settlement expansion by restoring pre 1967 status.
Mr. Chowdhary said that in a draft resolution which was adopted by the International Preparatory Committee meeting held in New Delhi, NASYM advocated the urgent need to address the core issues in West Asia so as to mitigate the sufferings of the Palestinian people and to usher an era of peace.
Mr. Subhash Chowdhary Chairman NASYM, While condemning terrorism in all its form and manifestation said Taliban, Al Qaeda, Jaish, Lashkar, are the same people with same agenda. “Taliban represent violation of all norms of the civil society and represent ideology of hate and endorsing it in any form as good or bad only legitimizes their existence.”
Did Taliban with its extremists polices ever enjoyed the support of the people of Afghan people, no and never the great Afghan people had nothing to do with it, the draft resolution pointed out
NASYM in its draft resolution stressed that peace will come only with the settlement of injustice. Lasting peace will come with the respect to the aspirations of people of the region, their culture their way of living, there is no other solution, it said.
NASYM Chairman Subhash Chowdhary said Preparatory Committee wants the international community to address problems that exists in Palestine, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Iraq and other parts of the world where dialogue and accommodation would help isolate the terrorists.
Dialogue and not violence, accommodation and not force, adjustments and not closing of doors by might will enable the world to find any answer to the burning issues, Mr. Subhash Chowdhary said
The NASYM has taken a pledge to create awareness across the world so that a powerful opinion is created for establishment of a just and equitable world order.
